Dr. Erkan Aydin joins the Center for NanoScience (CeNS), which is a collaboration network in Munich area
September 19, 2024
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Erkan Aydin has become a member of the Center for NanoScience (CeNS) at Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) Munich. Founded in 1998, CeNS promotes and coordinates interdisciplinary research in nanoscience across Munich, fostering collaboration between scientists from both academia and industry. This network includes researchers from LMU, TU Munich, the University of Augsburg, and other institutions, all working together to drive innovation in nanoscience.
Dr. Aydin's research group focuses on the development of "realistic ultra-efficient tandem photovoltaic solutions for Earth and space applications," with a current emphasis on multijunction solar cells, specifically perovskite/silicon and all-perovskite tandem solar cells. As the principal investigator of the INPERSPACE ERC StG Project, Dr. Aydin is advancing the development of space-grade perovskite-based solar cells.
With this new collaboration at CeNS, Dr. Aydin’s team is excited to work more closely with fellow research groups in the Munich area to address global energy challenges, contributing to a more sustainable future through advanced photovoltaic technologies.
