Aydin Group at the e-conversion 2.0 Annual Meeting in Venice
Cem Yilmaz, Hao Zhu, and Dr. Erkan Aydin joined the e-conversion 2.0 conference in Venice, Italy, bringing the group's research to the wider scientific community through poster presentations, short research pitches, and discussions with fellow researchers.
Scientific exchange across energy research
The first international cluster conference of e-conversion 2.0 took place at Venice International University on the island of San Servolo, bringing together researchers from within the cluster and invited scientists from around the world. The meeting focused on fundamental research into energy conversion processes and offered opportunities for scientific exchange across different disciplines.
With researchers from the cluster's participating groups and internationally renowned speakers, the conference provided a setting for discussing current research, sharing new findings, and developing connections across the energy research community.
Representing the Aydin Group, Cem Yilmaz and Hao Zhu presented their research in poster sessions and short pitches, sharing their work and discussing it with other participants.

Presenting our research
The conference offered Cem and Hao an opportunity to communicate their research to a broad audience, receive feedback, and exchange ideas with researchers working on fundamental and applied aspects of energy conversion.
Building connections through e-conversion
The Aydin Group is part of the collaborative e-conversion research environment, which brings together expertise to advance the fundamental understanding of energy conversion. Participation in cluster meetings helps our researchers connect their work with broader scientific questions and engage with colleagues across the programme.
Rotating participation across the group
We organise attendance at e-conversion meetings on a rotating basis, allowing different group members to participate over time. This approach helps broaden scientific exchange, gives our researchers opportunities to present their work, and enables more team members to contribute to this collaborative platform.
Science in the setting of Venice
Alongside the scientific programme, the team enjoyed the unique surroundings of Venice. The opportunity to experience the city and spend time together outside the formal sessions added another dimension to the meeting.
Sharing knowledge, strengthening connections. We value opportunities for our team members to present their work, learn from other researchers, and contribute to the collaborative spirit of e-conversion. We look forward to continuing these exchanges at future cluster meetings.
