The Aydin Group at LMU Munich Invites Applications for CSC PhD Scholarships (2026)

The Aydin Group at LMU Munich will be supporting PhD candidates through the CSC–LMU Scholarship Program for 2026!

Our research focuses on developing high-efficiency perovskite-based solar cells for both Earth and space applications. Within this exciting field, we offer several PhD topics tailored to the expertise and interests of prospective candidates.

LMU Munich, ranked as the top German university in the 2025 Shanghai Rankings, provides an exceptional environment for ambitious research and has a long-standing special agreement with CSC (see LMU-CSC Program). 1. Highly efficient and stable perovskite–silicon tandem solar cells

2. Highly efficient and stable FAPbI₃-based solar cells

Eligibility

• Candidates must be citizens of the PR of China.

• Age limit: 35 years (for some LMU doctoral programs this may vary).

• Candidates must have completed a research-oriented Master’s degree, ideally from a Double First Class University (双一流) in China, or equivalent institutions abroad (e.g. Germany, US).

• A Bachelor’s and Master’s degree with a minimum score of 80/100 in the Chinese grading system.
