A review article in Energy&Fuels focusing on Interface Engineering for Perovskite-Silicon Tandem Solar Cells
May 25, 2025
We are pleased to share our latest review article, “Interface Engineering for Perovskite–Silicon Tandem Solar Cells,”now published in Energy & Fuels. This work is the result of a collaborative effort with researchers from KAUST.
In this review, we highlight the growing importance of interface engineering in enabling the long-term stability and commercial viability of perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells. While these tandems offer an exciting route to surpass the efficiency limits of conventional photovoltaics, their path to market depends heavily on addressing interface-related degradation under real-world conditions.
The paper provides a comprehensive overview of recent strategies in interface materials, encapsulation, and device integration, aiming to guide future innovations and support the transition of this promising technology from lab to market.
