Dr. Erkan Aydin has been named among the Highly Cited Researchers 2025 by Clarivate in the Cross-Field category. This prestigious recognition identifies researchers whose work ranks among the top 1% most cited publications worldwide, reflecting exceptional influence and impact within the global scientific community.
Dr. Aydin is one of only 17 researchers from LMU Munich to receive this distinction in 2025. His research focuses on the development of high-efficiency perovskite and perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells, advancing next-generation photovoltaic technologies.
He emphasizes that this recognition reflects the collective achievements of his colleagues, students, and collaborators, whose dedication and creativity continue to drive the success of his research group at LMU Munich.
Each year, Clarivate identifies Highly Cited Researchers through an analysis of the Web of Science database, recognizing scientists whose publications have demonstrated significant global impact across 21 scientific fields and the interdisciplinary (Cross-Field) category.
