Dr. Aydin visited HZB and gave a talk on the advancements in perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells

Erkan Aydin visited HZB on June 6th and delivered a talk on "Advancements in Tandem Solar Cells via the Platform of Solution-Processed Perovskites on Textured Silicon".

Over the past decade, significant progress has been made in enhancing the performance of tandem cells, leading to dual-junction configurations achieving power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) nearing 34%, with various record-breaking updates. Most record cells have been developed using solution-processed perovskite absorbers, with many involving at least one solution-processing step. This talk focused on material properties and device integration perspectives to achieve 33.7%-efficient perovskite silicon tandem solar cells.
