Aydin Group Actively Engaged in Intersolar Europe 2025!
May 9, 2025
Intersolar Europe, the world’s leading exhibition for the solar industry, took place in Munich from May 7–9, 2025 at Messe München. As part of the broader The smarter E Europe alliance, the event brought together global experts to showcase and explore the latest innovations in photovoltaics, solar thermal technologies, and utility-scale solar power.
Aydin Group at LMU Munich was actively involved in this year’s Intersolar week. Located just a few kilometers from the exhibition center, our group had the pleasure of welcoming several academic and industry professionals to our lab and research facilities. These visits provided a valuable platform to discuss collaborations, share ideas, and discuss our latest work on single junction and multijunction perovskite tandem solar cell technologies that were developed in our lab.
Our team strongly believes in bridging fundamental science with industrial applications, and Intersolar Munich continues to be a key opportunity for us to do just that.
This year, alongside Dr. Erkan Aydin, team members Cem Yilmaz, Jian Huang, Hao Zhu (PhD students), and our F-Praktikum student Anna Backeberg attended the exhibition. For our young researchers and future candidates, this event remains an eye-opening experience — offering insights into the evolving solar landscape and opportunities to engage directly with global stakeholders.
We are excited to continue pushing the boundaries of solar research and strengthening ties with the broader PV community
