Workshop with National University of Singapore Delegation at LMU Munich
April 8, 2025
On April 8th, the LMU Munich Department of Chemistry hosted a collaborative workshop in conjunction with a visit from a delegation representing the National University of Singapore (NUS). This event was organized to lay the groundwork for a strategic partnership between LMU and NUS in the broad field of sustainability, with a special emphasis on energy, materials, and environmental sciences. A future collaboration with the e-conversion consortium is also envisioned.
One of the distinguished guests, Prof. Ning Yan, Director of the Centre for Hydrogen Innovations at NUS (in CC), delivered a talk and joined LMU and TUM professors in a fruitful brainstorming session to explore potential joint research directions. Prof. Yan specializes in green chemistry, catalysis, and renewable technologies.
Dr. Erkan Aydin from LMU also contributed to the event with a presentation titled "A Brief Overview of High-Efficiency Perovskite-Based Tandem Solar Cell Research at LMU Munich", offering an overview of the group’s latest activities in tandem photovoltaics and their relevance to the sustainability goals shared by both institutions.
