Biography
Dr. Amit Kumar is a Humboldt Research Fellow at the Aydin group at LMU Munich, working towards achieving long-term operational stability of perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells. His research focuses on mitigating ion-migration-driven degradation through low-dimensional perovskitoid interfaces. He completed his PhD at IIT Delhi under the supervision of Prof. Supravat Karak. In 2022, during his PhD, he was awarded an MSCA fellowship to conduct research on perovskite photovoltaics with Prof. Henry Snaith at the University of Oxford, where he spent a total of four years, including as a postdoctoral researcher. Prior to joining LMU Munich, he worked as a Research Fellow at NTU Singapore, working on multi-quantum-well (MQW) structures for photovoltaics. He is broadly interested in materials and interfaces that enable more reliable next-generation solar technologies.
