Biography
Philip Neugebauer graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ruhr University Bochum in 2024. His thesis focused on the application of the inverse deformation method using finite element analysis to determine the manufacturing geometry of low-pressure (LP) last-stage blades at Siemens Energy.
He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Aerospace at the Technical University of Munich, where his studies cover topics ranging from the fundamentals of finite element analysis to the engineering of spacecraft systems.
His semester thesis in the Aydin Group focused on modeling the thermomechanical behavior of perovskite solar cells for Low Earth orbit applications, in joint supervision with Dr. Michael Häußler (TUM).
