Annabel Saar

We are pleased to welcome Annabel Saar to the Aydin Group at LMU Munich. Annabel is an exchange student at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), visiting from Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech), Estonia, where she is pursuing her Master's degree in Green Energy Technologies.

During her stay, Annabel is working under the supervision of Dr. Amit Kumar on perovskite/C₆₀ interface engineering, contributing to our research on molecular contacts for perovskite–silicon tandem solar cells.

Annabel previously worked on kesterite-based materials for indoor photovoltaics at TalTech and was recently recognized with a Best Poster Award at the E-MRS 2026 Spring Meeting.

Boxue Zhang

Boxue visited the Aydin Group for one month for scientific exchange and collaboration on high-efficiency and stable perovskite tandem solar cells. His visit provided an opportunity to exchange ideas on molecular contacts, interface engineering, and tandem photovoltaics.

Óscar Manzano Narro

Óscar joined the Aydin Group as a visiting student from the University of Alcalá, Spain. He is currently pursuing a PhD focused on photovoltaic systems and applied engineering research.

During his visit, Óscar worked on high-temperature power tracking of perovskite-based multijunction solar cells in simulated space environments, contributing to the group's research on photovoltaic technologies for space applications.

Sunwoo Kim

Sunwoo spent six months with the Aydin Group during his research visit from Kyungpook National University (KNU), South Korea. His work focused on interconnecting subcells in all-perovskite tandem solar cells, with particular attention to efficiency and reproducibility.

Rahmi Eren Cakir

Rahmi spent three months with the Aydin Group during his research visit from Middle East Technical University (METU), Türkiye. His work focused on thin-foil interconnection strategies for perovskite–silicon tandem solar cells and their electrical, optical, and thermomechanical reliability.
